In the 2003/04 season, Arsenal did something no team had managed in the modern era of English football: they went an entire Premier League season without losing a single game. 38 matches, 26 wins, 12 draws, 90 points. They became known simply as the Invincibles, and the shirt they wore is now one of the most sought-after retro kits in the world.
The Invincibles home shirt
The 2002-04 home shirt was made by Nike, with Arsenal's classic red body and white sleeves and the O2 sponsor across the chest. It was clean, simple and unmistakably Arsenal, the shirt of Highbury in its final great years.

The team
Arsène Wenger's side was a perfect mix of power, pace and style. Jens Lehmann in goal; Lauren, Sol Campbell, Kolo Touré and Ashley Cole at the back; Patrick Vieira and Gilberto Silva in midfield; Robert Pirès and Freddie Ljungberg out wide; Dennis Bergkamp pulling the strings; and Thierry Henry, who scored 30 league goals that season and was simply unplayable.
The unbeaten season was sealed on the final day with a 2-1 win over Leicester at Highbury, and the club were later presented with a special gold Premier League trophy to mark the achievement. The unbeaten run eventually stretched to 49 league games before it ended at Old Trafford in October 2004.
Other shirts from the era
The Invincibles era also gave us some fantastic away kits, including the 2002-04 away shirt and the 2003-05 away shirt. And for something truly special, the redcurrant 05/06 home shirt marked Arsenal's farewell to Highbury after 93 years.
